Currently working on distribution deals for previous DVD releases. Also writing & marketing spec feature screenplays and developing new dramatic & documentary productions for broadcast, DVD, & the web. Serving as independent contractor for several producers & companies.

Formerly served as full-time Video Producer at “The Holy Land Experience” in Orlando, Florida. Responsibilities included writing, managing, directing, shooting, and editing various productions for home DVD, theme park attractions, television advertising, and the web. Duties also included set design, construction, and overseeing the sound stage.

Formerly served as full-time Director / Production Manager at “Sola Scriptura” in Orlando, Florida. Developed video department from its inception in 1998. Responsibilities similar to the above.

Served full-time as Production Manager at “L. Plummer Communications, Inc.” in Southfield, Michigan. Managed production staff, scheduled studio & location shoots, wrote scripts, produced, directed and edited promotional videos, television commercials, and live and taped shows.

Currently serving as Adjunct Instructor for "Directing" and "Screenwriting" courses for Macomb Community College in Warren, Michigan and Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Currently serves on the board of directors of the West Michigan Film Video Alliance, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization promoting a thriving film and video production community in West Michigan.

 
ACHIEVEMENTS

Seventeen years professional experience in video production as a producer, director, writer, editor, manager. Experienced in digital nonlinear editing and DVD authoring.

Wrote, produced, directed, shot, and edited over 120 independent video projects for various organizations throughout the United States, England, Israel, and Africa.

Founder and former President of Cumberland Media Ministries Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization specializing in the production of state-of-the-art promotional videos for non-profit organizations.

Wrote, produced, directed, and edited three low-budget independent feature films (1990, 1996, 2003).

Produced, Directed, Co-Wrote, Acted in, and Edited “Heroes Adrift”, a Star Wars Fan Film short feature. Visit www.heroesadrift.com.

Wrote two commissioned feature-length screenplays and several spec feature-length screenplays and shorts.

2006 Accolade Award Winner for FULL CHEST (editing), one of six fitness DVDs from "Body Balancing by Tim Michaels" (www.timmichaels.com).

EDUCATION

Film school: Columbia College, Chicago, Illinois (1987-88). Completed Associate of General Studies from Macomb Community College, Warren, Michigan (1990).
